Director of Nursing Earns State Honor

Posted 6/24/2015

Menomonie - Director of Nursing at American Lutheran Homes - Menomonie, Lora Sinclair, is now a Certified Nursing Director in a Long Term Care setting. She was presented the honor by the American Association for Long Term Care. Nationally, the association says fewer than 1/3 of Directors of Nursing have achieved any sort of advanced credential in their roles as Director of Nursing from any association accrediting body.

“I wanted to pursue my career in nursing after giving birth to my daughter and seeing the amazing care given by the nurses at that time. I am very excited to have passed this course and to be a certified director of nursing in long term care,” Sinclair said.

Sinclair has been a registered nurse since February of 2013. Since then, she has been employed at American Lutheran Homes. She was appointed Director of Nursing in February of 2015.

Sinclair added, “I’m so excited to complete the coursework necessary for this distinction. I love what I do and the relationships I’ve built with our friends and neighbors here, as well as the caring staff.”

American Lutheran Homes operates two skilled nursing communities in Menomonie and Modovi, as well as Hillview Senior Living in Modovi, and Autumn Village Assisted Living in Menomonie.
